Every coach has a shadow side — and in team coaching, it shows up in the room whether we acknowledge it or not. How could our very presence reorganize the system in ways we don’t see? In this candid panel, four experts turn the lens fully on ourselves: unexamined biases, misuse of psychological safety, avoidance of conflict and raw emotion, and how our own unresolved patterns can quietly shape what is said, silenced, or never noticed.

Dr. Elena Espinal is a global leader in coaching and team development. With over 30 years of experience, she has worked across 30+ countries with organizations, governments, and leaders. Founder of the first coaching school in Argentina, she specializes in cultural transformation and high-performing teams.

Felicia Lauw is a leadership coach and coaching supervision advocate with 30+ years’ experience working with leaders and teams globally. She champions reflective practice, serving in coach supervision training and mentoring coaches. An award-winning coaching supervisor, she enables sustainable, human-centered change through rigorous dialogue, cultural insight, and deep supervisory practice.

Jihane Labib is the first professional from Francophone Africa to hold ICF MCC, ACTC, and EMCC Master Practitioner credentials. She is the first Arab elected to the ICF Global Board and Chair of ICF Professional Coaches. A Faculty member at TCGA, she works with C-suite leaders across MENA, navigating complexity with cross-cultural expertise.

Jonathan Reitz is Director of Education at FLUXIFY and the Weatherhead Coaching Program at Case Western Reserve University, and Co-Founder and Faculty at TCGA. He helped develop the ICF’s Team Coaching Competencies and is the author of Coaching Hacks: Simple Strategies to Make Every Conversation More Effective.
